A New Weakness

Have you seen this?
Y'all know my love of lingerie and I'm so weak right now! I can't buy it 'cause I don't have any money anyway...I'm adding this to my wish list though! I just came across this the other day when Mikhaela talked about the lady behind the patterns. She's an illustrator so that bumps her up in my book by about a billion notches. If you're plus sized and love vintage definitely check out her vintage repro pattern line. So cool!

I love these but couldn't wear that style. I can't tolerate anything lower than the wires.
You have to have a wish list don't you!? I have list of books I'd love to own at the moment, maybe soon....

I somehow missed out on that post by Mikhaela, what a loss!! I'm so glad you posted a link. I don't think I could wear ANY of those styles, but I am mostly shaped like a big round potato with legs and arms, so nothing fitted at the waist looks very good on me.

Totally kick-ass illustrations tho! (and a good blog, too)

I love the look of that pattern, but I have sort of this mental block about patterns that are just traced from a vintage...part of me always thinks "But I might find the original!". haha! I think I just like the hunt!! (I do have several vintage lingerie patterns though, so that helps.)

I enjoyed looking at her stuff, but I disagreed with every single 'NEVER WEAR THIS IF YOU'RE PLUS" size "rules" on her site. That sorta turned me off.

Angie: I disagreed with some of her "rules" too.

Heather - congrats on finally finishing nursing school! I'm working myself into a tizzy and want to start sewing my own lingerie. Menopause has not been kind to me in any way and I'm tired of feeling big and frumpy and I'm ready to change that. Hoping you have a minute or two to email me to help figure out bra pattern sizing and underwires. Oh, dreaded underwires. I look forward to hearing from you. g
